Problem 1: The widget does not show up in Elementor widget search for some reason. But it is available under the WordPress widgets section.
Problem 2: Are you using the free version or Pro version of the plugin?
Problem 3: To show sub-categories, choose More options for the field, and check Show Hierarchy

To setup the price filter you will need to choose Custom Field Num and meta key set to _price. The post type, of course will be Products
