just remove the plugin over FTP and install it again from within the dashboard. You don’t need an outdated version, since there’s just a failed update routine.

try enabling shortcodes in term descriptions from the plugin settings page. If that won’t help, contact the theme developer for help.

that’s the expected behavior. 1 – is the user ID of post author. You can use the following shortcode to show the author’s Display name:
[su_user user_id="{su_post field='post_author'}"]
