Thank you for your fast reply, dtynan. Your suggestions sounded very promising.

However, I have now spent a few hours installing, testing in Chrome as well as Firefox, trying, changing things, but to no avail.

1) If I use the CF7 Mailchimp Extension (which looks very easy to use), the download (or form submit?) is simply looping, not taking it anywhere (namely the download link to appear beneath the form). This is confirmed by the fact that when viewing the plugin’s debug log file, it tells me no form has been submitted yet…

2) When I changed the email-before-download.php values of your-emailx6 and your-namex3 to my MailChimp list field values, the same thing happened as when I used my MailChimp list field values directly in the CF7 form: when submitting the form on the website, it submits ok and the link appears below, but when clicking on the link, it loops and nothing happens.

In essence, it seems to me that the EBD plugin rejects anything but the your-name and your-email, and plays up as soon as other values are being introduced. Can you think of any other way around? Or do you know of a better method all together? All I really need to do is getting a name and email address in exchange for a download, and want to directly integrate this information into Mailchimp…
