Hi, I’m using duplicator plugin “to” redesign/rebuild the wordpress install on root. Once /AA is looking and operating the way I want, what is the best way to move to root so all the linking and functions work correctly after the move.
Thanks!
Hi I might have it now. After I have /AA looking and operating the way I want. I just save it using duplicator and reinstall on root using duplicator (after storing files on root before removing) and should be good to go.
Thanks!

Hi..Thanks for the info. If I start with and empty folder off the public_html root, like /AA and not move the files to root after building the site. The path would be http://www.mysite.com/AA seems like. That would not work, seems like once /AA is looking the way I want, I would move it to root so the site location would be http://www.mysite.com.
Hi update:
I got in, have no idea why I was in the endless loop, tried a different browser in case it was a cache issue.
I still have a question about, I need the /DD install on the root. Should I have put it there to start with? I tried but it said all the wordpress files already there could cause a problem so I was noticing the path the person used in your video and used a similar one.
Is it best to just wipe all files in a root folder before bringing in the installer and zip files from the previous backup? (after saving all wanted files)
Thanks

In reply to: [AWS for WordPress] Please verify your AWS CredentialsHi,
It’s working this morning and I got an answer from Amazon saying the EC2 was set up as of yesterday and should be working. There was a delay though and I’ll post how I ran in to it and I’ll explain it here if it can help somneone else.I was using the same page of your step 1 above, yesterday. At step H, when I would try to go to the next step I would get a page saying thanks for signing up and it will take 24 hrs. and to contact service if there’s a problem. Also there was a link to verify by phone that I guess I needed to do also which I did. About the 4th time I tried (at different times yesterday) going through all the steps of Step1 above and running in to the same roadblock I decided to wait 24 hours after contacting amazon AWS help.
All I know is it’s working now, you may know where it went off the rails, the amazon tech said even know I had been using the system since 2010, EC2 needed activation.
Anyway, Thanks for your help and plugin!

In reply to: [AWS for WordPress] Please verify your AWS CredentialsHi,
I’m not 100% sure of anything at AWS, I was half way through setting up a policy when it said something that it would take 24 hours, with a contact support which was an endless loop of pages to read so I bailed. Never did find out how to contact support. I know this doesn’t have anything to do with this plugin directly but in looking at the plugin directions, it looks like you just install the plugin and insert your amazon keys. There’s a lot more to it than that.
Thanks

Hi,
I was updating the all in one seo pack and nothing else. Are you saying there is something in wordpress auto update that can affect this? Also, If I reinstall the plugin, will I lose all my settings that I made across the site regarding the all in one plugin?
Thanks
.
Hi,
That is what I was thinking but it only shows on the pages that EDD created. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t something I was leaving blank in set up or I needed to reload that plugin. Thanks

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] settings for malware?Hi Thanks for all the info.
On number 5, additional firewall rules, are you saying check all of those on the page or wanting me to look at them and decide? Most of my sites with your plugin are regular wordpress sites. Some use ebay’s api to pull in ads that I get a commission from if they click back and buy, not sure if any of this would effect that function. Other than that some of my customers “may” use proxy servers to look at my site. I didn’t know if that mattered either.
Thanks
