For me the problem was in other plugin in Lingotek ver. 1.4.1, whis is not compatible apparently with WordPress 5.
I had also strange problems with deactivating this plugin in WordPress multisite network – it was not enough to deactivate it in Network Admin but I had also to deactivate it in all network pages separately. Looking for this took me about 6-8 hours 🙁If a plugin deactivated at network admin level is not showing Delete option it means iot is still active in sites. After deactivating it on all the pages the option Delete showed up in network Admin level plugin administration page.

I am experiencing the same problem as @oclair. I create pages in different languages and after I try to associate them one-to-another bu either it can’t be saved (Classic Editor) or it is saved in Gutenberg the corresponding translation doesn’t show on frontend – it goes to homepage.
What it means it can not be saved: I edit page and link a page in different language to current page in section Language. When I try to Save or Publish the page the titles of corresponding pages are disappearing and in section Language. Sometimes they stay after save but if I edit the page again the titles in Language section disappear.Tried to switch all the plugins apart from Polylang but no effect. Don’t know where to search.
Before it was OK, but the problem appeared in similar time as the problem of @fitaspiration about one month ago. Maybe it appeared together with the upgrade to WordPress 5Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Polylang] Posts in different languages are not connectedI have similar problem – it appeared recently, in the similar time when I upgraded WordPress to ver 5.
I can not associate translation to any post. I click on +, I create another post in another language and save and publish, but then when I look at frontend the post is not linked to the translation.
I tried to desactivate Gutenberg, Visual Composer and the vast majority of plugins but still problem persists.Forum: Themes and Templates

You did it :-), thank you!There was no menu assigned to topbar menu area. But to see if there is something common with topbar menu I assigned my menu to topbar menu area and saved. Warning has disappeared and my menu apeeared in topbar menu area.
Then I removed my menu from topbar menu area and saved.
Menu has disappeared from topbar menu area but fortunately the warning message has not come back.
Before all this I updated plugin Kadence Toole and Virtue Template because new versions have just arrived.I Like Virtue Theme!!!

Or Polylang?Yes, while testing I was clearing the cache with WP Super Cache using each time three times “Clear Expired”, “Clear Cache” and “Clear Cache on all blogs” because I havent read documentation which button I should use ;-), but this was not helping.
I havent tested with switching plugins one by one yet.\
The page is here walkways4u.com but now it is ok using the solution I found – I should not leave this page for testing purpose not repaired because it is my client’s working page.
But anyway, thank you for your attention. You guys are really reactive, thanks 🙂
I found a solution but still don’t understand.
My static homepage was created in SiteOrigin Page Builder.
And I had on the page only one wiget – posts carousel
When I reverted it to classic editor view and clicked the Text Editor (not Visual, not Page Builder) so I have now in my text editor this:

I did exactly what is recommended, that is:
– set the static page in Settings-Reading – I set it to Page “XXX”
– enabled page content in Home Page Layout Managerthe Page Title is not enabled in Home Page Layout Manager, but portfolio carousel and icons menu and last entries from blog are enabled
…but only the static page “XXX” is shown on Home Page, carousel, icon menu and last blog entries are not shown. Moreover any changes to the Home Page Layout Manager are ignored until I disable the static page in Settings-Reading, even when I disable Page Content from Layout Manager.
What can I do with it?

After update to version 3.1.6 of Virtue Theme the problem is solved.

Have all a nice day!The same problem I see on my second site based on the same theme (Virtue), different server, I haven’t change anything there but the same problem appeared – “Similar Portfolio Carousel” is not displayed on portfolio pages, no matter how the option is set.

Chouby is explaining how to select more than 20 posts for bulk edit.My problem is that when I bulk edit 2, 3 or many posts (and I do know how to do it) the field to change language is not shown. How to configure language field to be editable in bult edit?
