Actually, I solved it myself. I’m a doofus and forgot to copy over the “loose” files from the upgrade directory to the root. I realized that given my error, it had to be something funky about index.php, and then realized that index.php was still the one from my first install a year ago.
Duh. Copied over the loose files, upgraded my database, and now we’re chugging!
I had the same problem, except with a screwed up call on the function.php page.
Wonder if there’s a legacy version? I’d like the theme back, and I stupidly didn’t back it up.
