In reply to: How to set up comment for URL?Ok I think I got it. I had to switch the settings so that you do not have to be registered though. So I will likely be fighting the spam all the time.

In reply to: How to fix my resgister page???I see, a few days ago I noticed my TweetMeMe plugin had stopped working as well. I thought it may have been because I uploaded a plugin for Digg, which afterwards I found also contained TweetMeMe in it.
I removed the plugin however, and it still is not recording tweets. Also the Twitter updater plugin has stopped working, it’s no longer automaticlaly pinging twitter with my new posts.
I figure it has to have something to do with plugins though because it was working at first.
If it was not for bad luck, I’d be out of luck completely xD.

In reply to: How to set up comment for URL?I tried and either it’s not working or I am doing it wrong. Is there a plugin that will do it?

In reply to: How to fix my resgister page???Thanks! I just used a template I found online, I wouldn’t doubt it if the coding is all messed up. Usually is that way when I find a decent one :(.

In reply to: How to fix my resgister page???Thanks, that worked, but now some of the text boxes have different background colors (some black, some beige). All I had to do was insert the code you gave into the Register Plus Custom CSS area.

This could be, but if do it right then people should be able to remember the slight difference, and when searching for travel related things, I doubt that amateur or amature is going to be the main keywords that brings them to the site. However, if it appears we aren’t getting good results we can always change the name for as little as $10 for a new domain. 🙂

Thank you for your post, sometimes people misspell words, and sometimes I will do that as well and find things I would not have found if I had typed it correctly. Because of this, sometimes I will purposely search with a misspelling, can be interesting sometimes!
Also if you use an online auction site such as eBay, a bunch of times sellers will not realize that they have misspelled something, and searching for misspelled products can sometimes save you a bunch of money as others may not come across it, just because it is misspelled.

In reply to: Re-done a new blog, how’s it look?I liked the theme the other day, but today it appeared hard to read to me as well. I suppose I will keep looking for another theme.

As the blog is new, and I am more focused on the overall scheme of the theme I have not had enough time for the blogroll section. However soon as I find a decent theme to stick with I will be adding links to the section. Thanks for checking it.

This was done on purpose actually, my friend and I noticed that amateur traveler was already taken, however slightly respelling the word to amature, which can be pronounced the same way (ah-mature) was not taken.

I’m sorry we depressed you, I’ve been to busy today to look through more themes, but I will be continuing the search for a lighter theme.

In reply to: My photography blogI love the London pictures! I hate heights myself, not as bad as I used to but I still won’t go up ladders. I did manage to go to the airport last month for $15 rides they were giving, first time in a plane, I took some pictures, but haven’t had time to get them up online yet.
It wasn’t as bad as I thought, and I even got to steer the plane for a few minutes! Now that’s a trick, trying to fly the plane and hold the camcorder with my knees…

In reply to: MoM – mindovermadness.orgI don’t mind dark themes, in fact I am using a dark theme on one of my blogs. However, I do find white text on a dark background is hard to read, often it seems to blend in together and I really have to focus to make it out. Sometimes if it appears interesting I will use my mouse and select the text turning it into a white or blue background to help follow where I am reading, but often if I can’t read it I’ll look for another site to check out.
Now a way to help that without changing the theme, and keeping it a dark theme is change the text color from white to something easier to see. You could try a grayish text, not to dark and not to light (or it be the same as white). If you like reds or blues, you could use those as well, but not bright colors, more dull works best in my opinion.

In reply to: danetidwell.comMy opinion is a bit bias due to the fact that I don’t really care much for grey/white themes. But far as the layout it’s self, everythings pretty simple to find, and the background image is cool. It’s like one of those paintings, don’t matter where you move to it follows you everywhere, ha.
Only thing I noticed that could get annoying is the long list to scroll down. Now and then I don’t mind scrolling through things, but not very often. I would much rather come to the link to go to another page to read more. Given the average length of your posts, if it was me I would set it for 3, maybe 4 posts per page or give a summery and have the reader click to read more.

In reply to: Tidbit TalesI agree, nice idea but the default theme is to basic and common. Just google for wordpress themes and you will get more than you can look through before finding one you like ^_^.
