I just sent it from the original site I noticed the issue with. When I went in there, there was a message saying the configuration was corrupt. I chose to rebuild it. Unfortunately, the problem still exists.

Well, there shouldn’t be any cache since it was completely new, so the url had never been accessed. Regardless, I just tried it in an incognito window with Chrome with the same results. I then tried it on a different computer and had the same issue.
BTW, I am a developer of 20 years, but I’m a MS stack guy.
Fresh database, default theme. Only thing I did after the WP setup wizard was install Wordfence. Wondering if it has something to do with the jQuery cleanup that is happening from WP?
I just did a test by spinning up a fresh install of WP 5.7.1 and only adding the Wordfence plugin. No change in behavior and nothing of any significance in the dev tools of either Edge or Chrome.
Thoughts?
