In reply to: [Theme: Twenty Twelve] Move search bar in navigation windowI found the answer myself despite not knowing any code. 2nd time I’ve figured it out before getting an answer here. Really disappointed as I was told this was a great forum for help. But all you get is “If you need help, pay for it” basically. This code was super-easy and would’ve taken any experienced person 30 seconds to compile.
Here is the code in case anyone else tries to ask and no one answers:

In reply to: [Theme: Twenty Twelve] Child theme and headerIt works if I edit the header.php straight in the twelvetwenty folder (not child theme folder) but I know you’re not supposed to do that since updated might screw up etc. The option to add a header disappears when I try to activate the child theme. Thanks!

Thanks! It was the thematic theme built in commenting.
I get that you won’t sit down and do the work for me and that’s cool. But telling me to “start exploring” when I got like 30 files downloaded doesn’t really help me out. As I mentioned earlier I’m a complete newb at this so a file name or anything would be helpful. Where do you usually find the location (X,Y?) or pixels from center or whatever of buttons like reply and pages?

I think the first part of the Jetpack plugin is horrible (the actual comments) and the second part is wonderful (the actual logging in/writing your name). Any way to swap/change? Thanks!

Download the theme to your local machine and open it up in a code editor of your choice (preferably one that understands PHP!) and read through the code. It’s actually pretty well documented code so you can see what each part of theme is doing.
Then I’d start reading through the codex – particularly starting with this: http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Development
Then I’d start reading up on child theme here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_ThemesThen I’d start making your first child theme!
Will do! What exact file is it I should download when you say “theme code”? Is it the style.css? Got a tip for a easy-to-use and newb friendly code reader program? Preferably a free one 🙂

And I uploaded a picture to my server but I can’t link to it in any nice way. Any tips? I wanted to show you my double directory. Thanks!
EDIT: I got this link, but it was sort of clumpsy. Just want to know how to get the URL without right clicking picture after uploading it? Thanks!
