    Hi,

    I’m also facing same issue where Google Search Console is showing a “Couldn’t fetch” error for my sitemap (sitemap_index.xml). My website is GetIntoPC and I am using Yoast SEO plugin.

    Here’s what I’ve already tried to fix the issue:

    1. Verified that the sitemap is accessible via a browser.
    2. Confirmed that the sitemap is correctly referenced in the robots.txt file.
    3. Cleared all caches (both site and server-side).
    4. Removed and re-added the sitemap in Google Search Console.
    5. Used the URL Inspection Tool in Search Console, which confirmed “Crawl allowed: Yes,” but the issue persists.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
