In reply to: [wpCentral] Unable to add websiteHello @softacpriya, I’m not sure what the issue is but it is fixed now. It has to do with how I decide to install WordPress maybe? If you can look into this issue and find out how this could happen and write about it on your blog, that will help. I’m just curious. I’m not sure why just that one site I was unable to add. It’s on there now though.
Or maybe WP Central works on Centos but not Unbunto?

In reply to: [wpCentral] Unable to add website@softacpriya another update: If you do find my support email, I did just now decide to change to a different operating system and install the Webuzo app originally used to set up at least one of my other WP installs. I’m hoping this will make a difference. I’m not sure if I just didn’t have the right OS on that particular server, which is at a different host and location than the others. It was just weird, though. I successfully added four active sites — some from shared hosting and others from VPS — but this one was stubborn. LOL
I’m now trying again after making some OS changes. Thankfully, it’s a new setup, so not much harm done yet. LOL

I’m trying to figure out if Portfolio will help me or not. I have the Parabola theme installed on one of my sites right now, which has a presentation page. Can I do anything with the Portfolio theme on Parabola? Will it make any difference?
Or, is it just for the two suggested themes? I did install the Portfolio option, but not sure what to do from there.
In fact, I wish there was examples somewhere on WP that showed the front-end output of all the posts types — what each post type looks like as a single post as well as for a group of posts on a page.
I have no idea what the difference would be, but if it would help me design my site better, I’d use it.

In reply to: A tiny suggestion for some of your content pagesI would edit this text myself, but I don’t know what the codes are, so if someone does, that would be helpful to me. 🙂 However, if I ever have something to contribute to the Codex files, I would. I’ve been doing a crash course on quite a few WP plugins, so I might just do that at some point.

I forgot how to change degree of transparency, though. I want a white perhaps 50% transparent bg so site visitors can still see my site’s body bg photo.
I’m actually having more issues with the Media Library not working right than anything. The membership plugin not sure yet.
Hopefully the cost of them are not outrageous, but I will look. I really don’t think I would want to–as much as I’d like to–pay more than maybe $25 to $50 max, depending on whether or not the membership function is already activated and I have very little work to do except insert my content.

Okay, I see. It’s a free theme. It might actually help for what I need it for. I’m going to try out this Suffusion one. If anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate them. I’m probably going to set up my membership site on a test subdomain for now–just to see what happens. That way, maybe when I go live I don’t have to delete all the pages I already created on my main domains.
However, one thing I really want…
I want one with the option of a 3-column layout, not two.

The media library slideshow feature works on one site and not the other, yet they both have the exact-same theme. I am also using the exact-same version of WP for both.

What is strange in my case is when I wanted to just put the generic [download-code] in the first time I tried to use it, the box would appear for people to add their code. Then, and I don’t know if it’s because I added more products or what, all of the sudden I got the
[Download id not defined] on my pages. That was after I uploaded more content.
As far as the ID…I don’t know what the ID is supposed to be. There is no “ID” column on the release list page.
