In reply to: Affiliate Membership PluginMemberwing – membership site software for wordpress (plugin) that supports 4 types of affiliate programs:
1. Via e-junkie.com
2. Via paydotcom.com
3. Via clickbank
3. Via Rapid Action Profits (RAP). RAP allows to instantly hire affiliates, keep track of sales. It also pretty powerful marketing system – allows to promote to your new members upsells (related products), present one time offers, do split testing, etc…MemberWing allows to have free teasers even for protected pages – and this is very good SEO feature. It helps your premium pages to be indexed and ranked on Google contrary to other membership softwares that locks your site completely so no one could find it organically.
Hope it helps,
Gleb

In reply to: membership accessYou may try to use membership site plugin with features that restrict access to content.
MemberWing membership site plugin for example allows you to leave “teaser” of your post or page opened to anyone, but the rest (premium) part to be visible only to members. You may setup free memberships or paid – up to you.
With memberwing – you just insert small marker: {+++} to separate free teaser from premium content and hide links to pictures or videos inside premium part.Hope this helps!

In reply to: Spacer added automaticallySolved!
The culprit was not wordpress, but Tiny MCE Advanced plugin:
http://www.laptoptips.ca/projects/tinymce-advanced/It is great plugin but doing a bit too much filtering.
So to solve it:
1. find file: tadv_replace.js (inside plugin sources)
2. In this file find function: pre_format : function(c)
3. Render it harmless by inserting this line of code to be the first executed:
return tinymce.trim(c);Save and replace this file inside your wordpress tree.

In reply to: Spacer added automaticallyShould we offer a reward for anyone to find a fix to that silly <br class=”spacer_” /> problem?
I dont use tables and don’t switch between modes, but i have to use rich editor as i use bulleted list of things.
Rich editor just inserts extra few ‘<br class=”spacer_” />’ thingies whenever it feels and the whole post looks progressively uglier, until I try to manually kill these bugs, only to have them reappear again.Anyone who has *real knowledge* of this cause could offer *real solution* please?

In reply to: membership site pluginMemberWing WordPress Membership site plugin –
has 4 levels of membership (from Bronze to Platinum). You may use only 1 or all 4 – it’s up to you. The drawback is that current version does not have automated payment system yet, but team is working on it.
Advantage of MemberWing though – it is free and SEO optimized – meaning you could add free teasers to your premium articles to spice-up visitors + have Google index and rank them as well.
Other systems just fully disable access to “premium” area for both – visitors and search engines – not good for organic rankings.Gleb

In reply to: Membership website with wordpress? There is:
Free WordPress Membership Plugin – MemberWing:- Supports 4 levels of membership (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum). You may use just one if you dont need 4.
- SEO optimized – you may add free teasers to every premium article to allow search engine indexing and ranking and to “spice up” your visitors.
- Supports latest version of WordPress
- And it’s free
It doesn’t include automated payment system yet, but team is working on it right now. By the time you read it – it may already be in place.

GlebCheck MemberWing membership plugin. It’s free, it gives you 4 levels of memberships and ability to have free teasers for each protected premium articles.
It does not have automated integrated payment system though, but at least you can create full blown wordpress membership site in 5 minutes without spending a dime.Gleb

In reply to: Membership / subscription plugin?WordPress Membership plugin MemberWing supports 4 levels of memberships: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Say, if you are “Silver” member – you have access to Bronze and Silver, but not to Gold and Platinum contents. Gold member has access to Bronze+Silver+Gold but not Platinum, etc…
You can also specify free “teasers” for each premium posts so visitors will have a chance to get a taste of your contents and presumably get excited to sign up. Its good for SEO too as Google has a chance to index and rank your free teasers. Other memberships solutions lock your whole site and make it more difficult to promote it organically.Gleb

In reply to: New Tutorial posted: Using WordPress as CMS to develop websites.Moshu,
The original was written in MS Word, and then converted to PDF and then to HTML for web posting. It was pretty intensive effort to make it readable in HTML, although PDF version that is available for download from there – looks much better. Sorry for the occasional weird inline chars.Gleb
