    Problem solved – thanks anyway.

I can view all my uploaded files in wp-content/uploads/date of upload
and can create a new folder to start organizing them into folders.
How do I move, or copy?, from the upload folder to the new folder I have created?

Oops. It worked using the Default Permalink setting – for about 24 hours, during which I loaded a number of files – all of which worked.

Now all of a sudden only the simplest of my pages show. It’s like whenever there is an attached media file the menu link does not work – and merely goes to a Yahoo search engine.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks very much.
The change to using the Default made the links work, but when I changed it back the failed again.
I went to my server file manager but did no see any file named .htaccess so do not know how to check on that.

I am only using this as a web site – with no Posting capability which would require others to use URLs, so suspect that more complicated links will not be a problem.

Unless something to do with this unknown .htaccess file is easy, I think I will just leave the Permalink on the default setting.

    Thanks again.
