Hi Sybre,
Thanks for this update! I will give it a try.
Remember to take a look at qTranslate X with qTranslate Slug. I guess many people use both plugins on their multilingual websites and I’d love to be able to use your plugin on my multilingual website.
Have a nice weekend!

In reply to: Layout issue homepageHi Accesspress,
The huge space below the header was a plugin conflict. After deactivating the conflicting plugin it was solved.
I’m still dealing with the slider. It just displays one category, not two.
Thanks!

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Well doneWell said barnez.
ron7789. I’m using this excellent plugin in a dozen of websites some of them running WooCommerce with no problems at all. It’s very lightweight, well coded, and I doubt the plugin can take your website offline. A conflict with other plugins you may have installed in your website could be the cause.
The title fix is for old themes not yet updated to the latest standards. As far as I know I didn’t need to activate the fix on my websites, perhaps on one website running an old theme, but it wasn’t offline.
Hi Sybre,
Since it’s flawless, I’m testing the Alpha on a production website. I haven’t reported any bug yet because it works like a charm.
Just one question. The next version will include the option to remove the title (and blog name) from the meta description? It’s OK for most websites, however some people prefer to see a longer description instead.
Thanks and have a nice weekend!
Hi,
noodp, noydir tags are supposed to prevent Google to use the description from Yahoo! Directory and the Open Directory Project/DMOZ Directory. Better leave them checked.
Concerning “noindex” for the homepage, look for ‘Homepage Robots Meta Settings’ and uncheck it.
The best you can do is click the “reset” button, and add your site name, and meta description again.
But wait for an official reply, because i’m not an expert.
Hope this helps

In reply to: Moving site to new domain – can't access it nowHi,
Nothing to do with the addon domain but perhaps with the server’s root directory if you switched to a new server.

In reply to: Moving site to new domain – can't access it nowHi patternreplicas,
I have done that several times. Open your database with a text editor such as TextWrangler on Mac or Notepad++ on Windows.
Use the search & replace function and replace all the instances of yourolddomain.com by yournewdomain.com. Also search for “oldomain” (without dot com) and replace all by “newdomain”. Change the name of the database if different. Save the database.
Then go to wp-config.php and make sure that all is correct concerning to your db name, domain password.
Hope this helps
It should work.

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] A few questionsHi Sybre,
Thanks for your quick reply!
I understand everything now. I just asked this question because I know very little about SEO, and I was afraid that Google see that as “duplicated content”. Your explanation was pretty accurate, and helped me to understand how it works.
I’ve just noticed that by switching to The SEO Framework a few days ago, things are going better 😉
Best regards,
George

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] A few questionsHi again Sybre,
Taking a look at the page source after installing your plugin, the meta description displays:
Title of the post “on my website” | And the description (shorter than usual).
Since I’m a complete ignorant about SEO, is this better for SEO purposes than just displaying the description? Because it adds the title twice (in different fields).
Thank you so much!

Thanks for your prompt reply!
I will follow your advices and keep the default settings.
Congrats for your fantastic work!
George
Nevermind.
Thanks
It was working fine until 2 updates ago. the previous update displayed the first product as site title. The developers fixed that quickly, but today I noticed the duplicated title in all my websites running WooCommerce.
It is related to Woocommerce.
None of my sites using a default WP installation have this issue, only the ones using WooCommerce.
Thanks!
Hi Michael,
Here’s the URL of one of them: bit.ly/1OEgLpY
