I think I figured it out. You must create a fee item (I chose workshop) and set it as a zero-cost (free) event. It appears that the plug-in requires a fee item even if it is a free event.

I found the problem…the problem is me, I’m slow.
I’m using WP to display a static page for the first page. Somehow the Home page was deleted and I had selected Home to be the front page. WP & Suffusion were doing what I told them to do… but there was nothing to display. The error was correct – page not found! I recreated the page, now all is well.

I have nothing to add…only want to echo your enthusiasm for this theme. It’s everything you say it is. My experience with it has been very good. If you want something quick and easy, accept the defaults. If you want to customize a little or a lot you can do that too.
