I was eventually able to get in contact with arvixe support and they helped me resolve the issue.
I tried backing up and uninstalling wordpress via ftp and phpmyadmin…after i installed fresh version of wordpress 4.3 i uploaded my wp-content folder, wp-config, .htaccess files and imported my backup database and began generating a 403 forbidden error.
This is when i finally got in touch with arvixe support and they were able to run a permissions script and boom, sight is back up functioning normally.
I still need to update to 4.3 but before i do i am backing up via Backup to Dropbox plugin.
Lesson learned after speaking with Arvixe, if i’m getting a 403/404 type error then call them first and establish it’s nothing on the host end that is causing issue, before i begin trouble shooting.
Thank you Tara for your suggestions. I had tried contacting my host several times before posting with no luck.
Fortunately i got in contact with Arvixe support today and they were able to solve the 403 error by running a permissions script.
