I dont think I discovered the root of the problem, but I discovered a fix. Within the “Quick Edit’ there is a box to allow comments. I think it’s also inaccessible within the edit post if you scroll down to discussion. It’s intermittent so I dont know what the issue is, but I’ll keep an eye out to adjust that setting as it comes up. Thanks Stephen, Maruti
that box is unchecked, so it’s not enabled
actually, for some reason comments will turn on for some posts, and off for others. it’s inconsistent and I haven’t figured it out yet..
