In reply to: issues with moving wp3We actually did what was instructed in 4 and 5 – and that’s what crashed the site. So at least we have confirmed that indeed it is NOT WP3 compatible.
But moving a site from a staging location to the root is a pretty basic operation – how can this everyday operation be impossible using the latest and greatest WP3?

The instruction provided in the article you referenced are exactly the same (up to this point) as http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress instructions. Except that in the Moving WP article the provided the added cautionary note, as follows:4. In the box for WordPress address (URI): change the address to the new location of your main WordPress core files. << not WP3 compatible
5. In the box for Blog address (URI): change the address to the new location, which should match the WordPress address (URI). << not WP3 compatibleNote the “not WP# compatible” – so what are we supposed to do if it’s not compatible??
