Okay, of course it was going to happen, but by posting this, I provided a tag to ‘is_single’, which after posting, I followed, which lead me to http://wordpress.org/support/topic/43446 – which solved my problem.

Brilliant.

If anyone has anything further to add for the hell of it, I’d still be interested, but I’m cool now.
