In reply to: WordPress Twenty Ten 1.1 Header problemThanks so much for answering. I am not quite understanding what you suggested. I didn’t upload the newest wordpress version through ftp, I just updated through the automatic update function in WordPress, so I don’t have the newest version of WordPress on my computer to re-upload files and folders.
Are you saying I should download the newest version to my computer and then replace the files and folders on my server, with the new files and folders I just downloaded to my computer, except for the wp-content folder?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Link-categories don’t all showI am sort of starting a new topic but related to the posts in this section. I don’t what is happening with my blog.
I have the 2.1 WordPress blog platform if that makes a difference to my problem. When I submit a new post nothing shows up on the homepage, of the blog,(index.php)even when I don’t check a catagory for the post to be posted to, also I am showing two default catagories. I have no idea why. All my catagories show up on the blog, and I have no error messages, and everything seems to be working fine, except nothing shows up when I post except when I click a catagory for the post to show up in, but that is not the index page.
I hope I have made myself clear, in explaining this problem, because I am throughly confused.

In reply to: Adsense-Deluxe plug-inHello 4evrblu,
I have been busy the last couple of days trying to get the adsense deluxe plugin to work, and now it isn’t working on my first blog, where it was working before, so now I have 2 blogs where I cannot add any ad blocks now.
You know I wonder if it is the akismet. Because i didn’t have that activated before I upgraded the first blog to 2.1
and now it is activated. You may be right about some other plugin not wanting to play nicely with the adsense deluxe plugin. I am going to check that out next.
An update to my post. I went and deactivated the other plugins, to see if the adsense deluxe plugin would work, and it still won’t work.
I am almost sorry that I upgraded on the one blog and did a fresh install of 2.01 on the other. I wasn’t having any problems with the wordpress version I was using, although I realize that the upgrade has fixed security issues, and has greater capability.

In reply to: Adsense-Deluxe plug-inHello,
I just realized they were ella all along. I think I will follow your suggestion, since I have already backed up databases, I know how to do it. I know I just want that deluxe-adsense plug in to work! so back to work and I will post here what happens.

In reply to: Adsense-Deluxe plug-inHello again,
You know I thought I would go double check to see if both blogs were the same. I was mistaken. My one website has 2.1 and that one works. The other website has 2.0.4 which is ella right? Well that is the one where the AdSense-Deluxe doesn’t work. I am thinking I will just put the 2.1 on the second site also, and then everything should work.

In reply to: Adsense-Deluxe plug-inHello 4evrblu,
Yes that is correct, and this is why I am tearing my hair out so to speak, because I can’t figure what the difference is.

In reply to: Adsense-Deluxe plug-inHello 4evrblu,
Thanks so much for answering my post. I uploaded adsense-deluxe in th wp-content –> plugins –> adsense-deluxe php file but it is not in it’s own folder or anything
Are you saying that the adsense-deluxe plugin has to be in it’s own folder in the plug ins directory?
Umm something I find very interesting is that I have version 4 of adsense deluxe plugin on both of my websites’ blogs and I have the upgraded version of wordpress on both websites. The Ella upgrade. Now on the one website everything is working perfectly and the adsense plugin is chomoded at 644.
On the other website’s blog my adsense deluxe plugin is currently chomoded at 755 but I did have it at 666, and neither one seems to work, or that may not be the problem anyway.
I don’t know why the adsense deluxe plugin is working fine on one website’s blog and not on the other, with everything being the same, except of course the subject matter of the blogs

In reply to: Adsense-Deluxe plug-inHello, I am hoping someone can help me with this particular adsense plugin issue. This is the first time I have had this problem.
When I tried to setup a new adsense block, I keep getting the error message:
Invalid characters in Keyword; submission NOT saved
Now I very carefully followed the instructions, and imputed the keyword like so: <!–adsense#sb–>
So I am at a loss at what to do. If someone knows the answer to this problem, I would really appreciate hearing from you! π
