Gah! And now I DO see Autoptimize working! I was definitely looking earlier in a logged-out browser too.
I have no idea what’s going on… but for now it seems to be ok. I’ll report back if things change (which if the rest of today is anything to go by, probably will….) π
Ok I’ve managed to get it to activate again. I activated another plugin (which was fine), then tried Autoptimize again. Very odd….
Here’s my URL for you to take a look at.
https://www.designbuildweb.co/
I have Autoptimize activated and this screenshot shows my settings:
Thank you for your help.
Thanks Frank. That all makes sense.
I can’t check if my AO’ed files are served over HTTP or HTTPS because Autoptimize doesn’t actually appear to be working… (see my first message in this thread).
How do I check?
Now even more strangeness! I just thought to myself: “I’ll activate Autoptimize again and send Frank my URL so he can see the source code for himself.”
So I tried activating it again… but it won’t activate! When I click ‘activate’ I get a message saying, “Plugin activated”. But it’s not. The link still says ‘Activate’ and there are no Autoptimize settings, etc.
Have you any ideas??
Thanks for your help.
I also just had a weird issue where a good chunk of my site’s code went missing! I tried deleting cache in Autoptimize and in Cache Enabler too. Still lots of missing code. I then uninstalled Autoptimize and the code all returned.

In reply to: [WP Show Posts] Pagination issueSorry, if I may quickly ask while I’m here…
Being able to create custom/fake archive pages for custom post types with WP Show Posts is superb. But if I have custom taxonomies, the taxonomy archive pages default to GP’s archive page template. I’d love to be able to have the same archive page layout for taxonomies as the custom/fake archive page I created with WP Show Posts. Usually the blog archive layout isn’t suitable.
It’s a long shot, and I’m 99.9% sure not possible, but… is there a way of achieving this?
Just occasionally I miss fairly simple tricks like this, thought I’d ask. π
Thanks again.

In reply to: [WP Show Posts] Pagination issueExcellent Tom. Great to know I can achieve this layout either with GP (which I’ve done, no problem) for standard posts, and with WP Show Posts Pro for custom post types. π
Again, many thanks indeed.

In reply to: [WP Show Posts] Pagination issueThanks Tom.
Actually, I’m happy with image alignment and size being the same for both the single col featured post and the 2 col posts. I currently have the image size for the 2 col posts set the same as the featured. They both need to fill their respective available column widths.
I guess, ideally, I should make the 2 col post images maximum width whatever the mobile breakpoint is, as that’s the largest they’ll ever need to be (when they drop down to a single column each). Which would actually make them smaller than the featured column image. But it’s not a big issue really.
Does the ‘featured post’ feature in the pro version solve the pagination issue (because presumably it’s just 1 list, not 2)?
Thanks again!

In reply to: [WP Show Posts] Isotope filter+1 for this feature. I would love love love this. π
Great! And no problem. π
Nice to know it’s not just me @dasigna. π
Agreed @dasigna. π
Yes that’s right @arielk-1.
However, now it seems to be working! I have no idea why. I’ve not changed anything. I literally haven’t touched the site since I posted my support message earlier. The shortcodes are now being parsed in the Elementor editor view.
Hmmm. I’ll keep an eye on it and report back if it happens again.
Thanks for your help.
That’s good to know @lopo. I’m a big fan of your plugin. Thanks for commenting.
Also, if I use .elementor-section then the CSS is overriden by (in the case of example) in the styles in the <head>:
.elementor-element.elementor-element-84qy3ti { padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; }Whereas .elementor-row isn’t overriden by anything, and has the desired effect of creating some left and right padding on mobile.
