Support » Plugin: Elementor Page Builder » HTML of text widget not being parsed in the preview

If I enter or edit text or HTML in the ‘Text’ tab of the Elementor ‘Text Editor’ widget, and then switch back to the ‘Visual’ tab, the page preview doesn’t display paragraphs properly. The text is pushed together on 1 line.

At best, I have to ‘save’ before the preview will show me the paragraphs properly. However, on many occasions even pressing ‘save’ doesn’t work. Just now, it took me 30 minutes to get the paragraphs to appear – on the preview page AND on the live page. I tried all kinds of things – closing the page completely, re-opening it, re-adding all the text, etc.

I’ve recorded a quick screencast showing you what I mean.

It wouldn’t be as much of a problem if the issue only occurred in the preview/edit screen, but it even happens on the live page, meaning that I can’t move onto other things until it’s fixed, because visitors see it like that.

    Thanks for your help.

(I’m using Elementor v0.10.6 with GeneratePress, very minimal plugins.)

  • … not been aware of this yet, but tested instantly and can confirm largely.

when editing code in the text tab e.g. for breaks or headings, they dont even appear in the visual editor tab, nor they are rendered in preview on my quick test.

but so far this has not been eny issue to me as i’m using the tiny mce advanced which provides all the things i need mostly – and that works flawlessly in visual editor tab 🙂

    but strange anyway.

Nice to know it’s not just me @dasigna. 🙂
