In reply to: Loss of Homepage because of Error messageHi esmi….just to let you know I got the problem solved while waiting to hear from Crash Plan.
I had also explained what happened to Bluehost and in a few hours they wrote back and said I evidently erased too much of the file when I deleted the code and they installed another functions.php file and I did not lose any of my customizations.
I appreciate the effort you made to help me.

So, if I upload the new theme, I will lose all the Categories I have listed in the right column as well?
I have an auto backup with Crash Plan…..I guess I should contact them and see what they can do. I have never used them before.

First off, I have no clue about FTP and will have to check it out. I see somewhere where filezilla can be used, whateva that is.
Secondly, if I upload the new theme, will I lose anything already on my Homepage……such as loosing the Amazon.com banner again?
Thirdly, can I not just go to line 482 where the error is and correct it?
And fourth, can I just go to the Themes page and install the same theme I now have?

In reply to: Emailing new posts automaticallyAppreciate the info Emil, I am going to check it all out shortly.
When I activated the FeedSmith plugin and then went to pick the options in the administrative area I got a warning from Google that this might be someone impersonating the website. I chose to disregard the warning but then Google showed me their standard search engine page and I never was allowed to pick any options or settings.
It was confusing so I deactivated and deleted the FeedSmith plugin.
Will let you know how it goes, and thanks again.
