I wrote to my internet supplier but they answered rather rudely:
“We do not provide support for installed software on VPS, but we can investigate and fix on 850 SEK/hour rate.”
That is about 100 USD per hour. I answered that I would not pay and that their calm attitude assured me that no imediate threat was at hand.
I really can´t see anything dangerous happen. My site http://www.fritext.se contains a somewhat highbrow left wing cultural blogg, swedish poetry, pics and music. Who would hijack that?
But just now I got an mail from the WP forum:

I am not so good at the inside of computing. I will take your advice and write a mail to the people that supply my web connection. I will let you know what they say.
