Thanks. yes, originally I did use this. but then what it did was to right align all the menu items. I don’t want drop down items to be right aligned. I also don’t want the navigation for the responsive menu’s to be right aligned.

I want the last menu item to line-up on the right handside with the tagline.(below the tagline, just where it is now.)

    Thanks

Yes, everything else works just fine:) I’ve used the wrapping and padding and already adjusted it to my needs.

ok…no problem. Thanks very much for the quick reply. if you do stumble upon a solution though I would greatly appreciate it:)

    Thanks again

I should add, I’ve done various test and I found the following:

When adding a slider to the page, whether it is the home page or not, the fixed header works as it should.

When there is NO slider added to the page, it leaves an open area of about 18px under the admin bar, or browser bar, depending on whether I’m logged in or not.

I have also tried the different page options ie. full-width, sidebars etc. the results are the same for all of them.

ok so I fixed my problem simply by turning OFF the option to arrange uploaded media into monthly folders. I’ve read through so many threads and quite honestly, I just don’t know if this is the best option or what consequences this will have, if any later on down the line. If there are any, please let me know.

    Thanks for the help.

Hi there. at the moment Im still designing on local installation. it should be mentioned that I’m using Elegant Themes Divi theme. once the web is up and running I will send you that live link. I have asked them from their side too… it may be a theme issue.

    Thanks for the speedy reply

Ok…so the web is up and running. at least that is the theme and my posts. Do I need to start a new topic for a different question related to the same website?

I recieved the following article from GoDaddy: which helped

    Hi there:)

Thanks for the link. that was one of the very first articles I read to see If I had done something wrong (which I had and then realised to change my URL’s to point to the new one)

But this still doesn’t resolve my problem.\

The default setting I have points to a directory on the root. httpdocs was the one specified. I have since changed this to a different name and begun the process from scratch. i now get the following error:
    ……………………………………………………………

    Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at 50.62.209.12:3306. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    ……………………………………………………………..

From this I assume that it is a GoDaddy/ Plesk issue and not something I have done wrong. Please don’t close this topic just yet. I would like to post my findings for the next poor GoDaddy sucker who has the same problem. (that is when they get back to me)
