Seems that it isn’t a tiny mce advanced problem. I deactivated the plugin but the problem is still there. Have the seek a solution elseware.

This problem was supposed to be fixed with WP 4.3.1. But I suddenly have the same problem. Could it be due to something else? I run WP 4.4.2 and TinyMCE Advanced 4.2.8.

That combination of categories with associate folders is something needed in my opinion. I’ve been searching for that sort of plugin for some days now, tried a few like FileAway, Media File Manager and WP Filebase. But they didn’t do the job as I wanted or didn’t work with my theme Avada. I think the right way to do it would be to start with a Category management plugin and build in a function to associate folders to them, rather than a Download manager.
Have anyone find that sort of plugin or could it be built in in WP Media Category Management? Or the similar Enhanced Media Library.
