I like this plugin but I have a situation where I need to undo what it did and uninstalling it does not do the trick. I’ve read through the documentation and could not find mention of how to do a clean uninstall of this plugin. I could be wrong, or maybe I am using the wrong terminology. 🙂

Hey, I’m just a user of the plug-in, not affiliated with the author in any way but thought I’d throw my thoughts on the screen and see if they help you out:
1. Have you deactivated all other plug-ins to identify any conflicts?
2. Have you tried with the vanilla WP theme that comes with 3.8?
3. Did you set the time in Settings?I use WP 3.6.1 at the moment (I have formalized Acceptance Testing procedures that all versions of WordPress have to pass and usually WP releases updates so fast I’m typically several versions behind. Frankly, it’s never been a problem for me from a security standpoint) and it works perfectly so I cannot speak to it’s compatibility with 3.8 but the above steps might help you at least begin to identify where the problem is living. 🙂

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Issue WIth Permalinks?Using CPT UI version 0.7.2 on WordPress 3.4.2 and having the same problem, I think. I am experiencing problems whereby any permalink structure ending in
/%postname%/causes Pages to be unavailable. Only the home page displays correctly, and oddly enough second level pages.It seems that permalink structures ending with an ID (such as /?p=123) or are numeric (such as /archives/123) work fine, but then the Category posts are listed with a number in the URL, which is bad for SEO. Deactivating the plug-in returns the site to normal behavior.
I’ve been using this plugin and experienced no problems. Brandon’s website shows that he is an active developer in the community and a serious professional. I was just reading through his blog. I think with free stuff it’s up to us, the web designers, to test things out and make sure it works the way we need it to and NOT put the burden on the plug-in author to help us with issues unless we are willing to pay for that help. Some plug-in authors might not provide paid support either. They are within their rights to NOT offer support IMHO. Cheers to you Brandon. I am using this plug-in in VERY practical situations and have no complaints or bugs to report.

However, if I have a field named [Sidebar Left], placing the shortcode [Sidebar Left] in my page only results in the display of that exact text, [Sidebar Left], not the actual contents of that custom field.
