In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Plugin licenceHi @makinero – Thanks for your question. @jdembowski is correct. The Fancybox scripts included in this plugin are older versions and are fully GPL compatible.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Change fancybox size@danstramer – So you’re looking for one of two options:
1. Adjust the width / height of the Fancybox window on one specific page, while keeping the current sizing on the other pages.2. Have Fancybox automatically adjust to size (maybe on just that page, or maybe on all pages).
Neither of those is possible out of the box, but we might be able to do it via custom CSS. I’m wondering if you can try adding this custom CSS to your site?
#fancybox-wrap {
left: 0 !important;
right: 0;
margin-inline: auto;
width: fit-content !important;
}Let me know if that gets you close. Any custom CSS can also be limited to specific page by adding that page’s body close in front of the selector (ie, like .page-id-106).

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] toolbar hiding under site nav bar / menuHi – I’ve replied to your email. Since we can continue there, and since the original issue appears resolved, I’m going to mark this thread resolved. But I’m happy to keep chatting about other questions via email.
Just wanted to follow up and let you know I’ve looked at this. One thing I’m finding is that closing on content click works fine with Fancybox Classic, but not with the Fancybox Legacy or V2 lightboxes. Not sure if you’re open to switching, but that may be a work around for now. If you do try Classic and it does’t work for you, let me know.
You should be able to test it here: https://firelightwp.com/free-lightbox/
I still need time to diagnose the issue with the others. Far as I can tell, they’ve always behaved like this (I took over the maintenance for this about 1.5 years ago). Surprisingly no one has raised it before you – perhaps because Classic is the most popular, or because people don’t use or verify the option on mobile. But any fix will require troubleshooting the actual 3rd party Fancybox script.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] lightbox form popup helpGreat to hear!
@junior – I just wanted to confirm I can see and duplicate this. I’ll try to dig into this and see what’s going on this week.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] toolbar hiding under site nav bar / menuHi @niko-popp – When referring to the “navigation / menu bar that follows along as a user scrolls down” I assume this is the header bar provided by the theme, and if so, it sounds like it’s just a theme/plugin conflict, and we probably need to adjust something like a z-index via CSS. Are you open to sharing a link to the site so I can see the issue? If you’d prefer to send it privately, you can reach out at firelightwp.com/contact.

In reply to: [LightPress Lightbox] Too much SQL updatesHey @ljosh – I haven’t resolved this yet. I’ll bump it on the priority list. Thank you for following up.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] lightbox form popup helpHi @starhorsepax2!
Yes, the approach would be to add a Group block or another container block. Put your Mailpoet form inside of that. Beyond that, it should be the same as what you see there.
On the container that contains the form, you’ll want to add a unique id attribute and a fancybox-hidden class. You can do that from the block settings sidebar under advanced.
Then you’ll add a link to the page and set the link to the unique id on your container (ie, you can usually just link to #my-unique-id). Then add a fancybox-inline class on the link so the plugin knows to look for it.If you’ve done all that, it should work.
From looking at your page, one potential issue I see is that you seem to have the same id set on both the container and the link. You’d want to remove the id on the link – you only want one unique id on the page. Please try that and see if starts working for you.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] error in working properly with another plugin@sonicgyn – Here’s what’s going on now with this page:
1) The initial page loads with some images.
2) Our lightbox JS runs, and adds some classes to images to make them open in the lightbox.
3) You click to load more, and the some more images are dynamically loaded to the page.
4) Because #3 happens after #2, the new images that are loaded don’t have the proper classes in place. We’d need to re-run our lightbox JS from #2 each time images are added/changed/.I should not that the Firelight Pro lightbox has this ability. It detects changes to image containers, and reloads lightbox JS when needed. But this just is not something we’ve added to the free lightbox yet. I can explore what would be involved to add it, but I’m not sure when I’ll get to that.

In reply to: [LightPress Lightbox] Disable lightbox for some images?Great, glad those worked!
And on our docs, I understand. They definitely need both more detail and better organization.

In reply to: [LightPress Lightbox] Description instead of Caption@mikepalmer – I’m glad you got this worked out. Sorry for the delay reply and leaving you on your own to figure it out, and for the need to implement such a complex solution on your part. The plugin could certainly use better and more diverse out-of-the-box options around title / caption displays.
If you have further questions, let me know.

In reply to: [LightPress Lightbox] Disable lightbox for some images?The code you reference above is for filtering post content. So you’d write a PHP function with that jqlb_apply_lightbox() method within the function, and then you’d hook that onto a WordPress filter. When you use a WordPress filter, that filter will pass the content being filtered to your function. You’d replace $your_content with that variable. If you need more details on that, let me know.
On your broader question about how to not have an image open in the Lightbox, a few notes:
The lightbox will only apply to image LINKS. So you can add an image that is not wrapped in an ‘a’ tag, and that will not open in the lightbox.
For images that are also links, one way to avoid it opening in a lightbox is to add a ‘rel’ attribute to the link, and set that equal to anything other than ‘lightbox’. For example, something like this should not open in a lightbox:
<a href="YOURLINK" rel="nolightbox"><img src="YOURIMGURL" /></a>How you add that rel attribute can vary greatly on how you are adding your content.
Would an approach like that work for you?

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Lightbox for PDF Has IssuesOh, I also wanted to confirm that I have started working on integrating PDF.js (https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/) for better PDF rendering across devices, especially on mobile, where PDFs are notoriously challenging. Unfortunately, this will be part of the Pro version. I’ll update when released, and if you are interested at that time, will happily give you some kind of special/large discount given you’ve raised this issue specifically.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Lightbox for PDF Has IssuesThanks for the additional details. I’ve downloaded Neve. Oddly, I’m not immediately having the same issue, so it may be related to some specific Neve settings.
All that said, I’m wondering if you can try something simple. Please try adding this custom CSS to your site. This won’t affect things much on mobile, but it may affect the white space on desktop.
.fancybox object {
height: 100%;
}
