    Hi Whooami

The prblem is I dont seem to have access to the old blog to point it to the new URL as mentioned in both examples of how to do this procedure. AS well as downloading the database (although I do have a .zip file with a number of .php files. I do have a file called expattax.sql however) Is this my database and if so how do I know Im uploading it correctly?

Sorry to be a pain, im a bit new to all this as you can probably tell.

    Cheers

    Hi Whooami

The thing is the way I have done it is to copy everything accross and edit the WP-config file just like it says, so how come its not working for me now and it wanted me to create a new wordpress a/c and not accept the old wordpress info?

    Cheers

    Hi numeeja

I created a blank new one then amended the existing wp-config file with the new details, eg username, db name etc.

Is there a way I can restore the old db as I still have access to the original files?

    Cheers

    Nick
