I think you’ve help with your question – I have looked in the .htaccess file and it contains this

RedirectMatch permanent ^/$ http://www.windsorartscene.com/index

# BEGIN WordPress

# END WordPress

So I guess I need to delete this as it is referring to the URL I am trying to change? – e.g. I am trying to move all to the root where it should then read http://www.windsorartscene.com

Thanks for the reply – Can’t access anything once I’ve logged in as all I see are empty boxes with question marks! So getting to the plugins is not possible.

I am running on the Twenty Ten theme.

I have one inactive plugin that I loaded today the WP e-commerce plugin but can’t get to that to reset it (lol)

I will re-upload a fresh wp-admin and wp-includes folder as I’ve not tried that!!
