Well, this is an issue that I’ve had with multiple themes – so I thought I’d put the query out on the forums. The issue that I’m having is that with some themes, even if the settings > discussion options are set to turn off comments, you often still get a ‘comments are turned off’ type of message. Typically I would just edit the php of the template to get rid of this, but with some themes – pagelines included – this is difficult if not impossible to find. Thanks for the thoughts though.
