In reply to: Home page taking too long to loadThank you very much! I think your test is not working though…I have made some improvements, but 2 seconds…hehe. It might have something to do with the cached memory or something. Anyway, it’s loading faster now so thank you for your help.
I have another question you might help me with (or let me know if I have to open a new thread)…when I google “naogu complementos” the result for my page only shows the URL http://www.naogu.es…no description or title being shown. I have introduced a title and a description from my desktop manager in WordPress so I have no idea why is this happening…any clue?
Thank you for your help!

In reply to: Home page taking too long to loadThank you Brad! I have saw the results of the test and managed to figure out what could each of them mean. I think I had a plugin (which I wasn’t using) that was slowing down everything. I have removed it and did the test again and it is taking now less than 6 seconds to load, which I think it’s acceptable.
Could you try again to see if it’s just me or I have solved? Thank you very much for your help, it’s greatly appreciated!

In reply to: Home page taking too long to loadThank you so much Brad. What you say is like Chinese to me. Do you mean it might have something to do with my server (Arsys)? Do I have to tell them to fix something?
I have erase my navigation history (I don’t know how do you call it in English) and loaded the page again…it still takes forever to load, like I don’t know, maybe 20 or 30 seconds.

In reply to: Home page taking too long to loadThank you both…I will try what you suggest tonight once I get home. In the meantime, what should be the size of the images in order not to slow down the whole page? 10Kb? 50Kb? 500Kb?
Thanks!

In reply to: Change nav menu height and space bewteen pages in Twenty ElevenThanks esmi. I am using Firebug and inspecting the CSS code the only “item” similar to height is line-hight: 1; which doesn’t seem to have nothing to do with it (actually, changing that has no effect on the bar).Same happens with the spaces between the pages.
Thanks again!
Fernando

In reply to: My webpage's header doesn't show rightThank you for your help esmi. I am now trying to figure out how to edit the html code to fix the errors. I will later go to the css and php files. But as I said before, I can’t edit it with the dreamweaver and I don’t know why.
Thanks!

In reply to: My webpage's header doesn't show rightOk…I already knew I had errors. I now know hoy many of them. Let’s start with the HTML code…the validator has detected 11 errors but, how can I fix them? I have downloaded the index file from my FTP but when I open it with Dreamweaver I have only a short code and nothing similar to what the validator shows me.
In the CSS validator I have detected more than 400 errors, but I will figure it out on a later stage. Let’s start with the html. A clue? Anyone…
Sorry if I’m annoying, I am starting an online course soon, but in the meantime any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks!

In reply to: Changing font size and color on my footerYes indeed…I’ve been trying all the morning (here in Spain) and finally I copied the footer.php code and pasted it in Dreamweaver. Then I edited everything manually (old school as I am new in wordpress) and then took the code to the wordpress editor.
