In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] click title to original url@tiedemies , We unfortunately don’t yet have this workflow as you described. It’s similar to the workflow of Alex, and it’s now on our roadmap.

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] click title to original url@tiedemies , please watch this very short video tutorial: https://vimeo.com/113796278 it explains pretty much how the plugin works regarding the template parameters.
@Alexandrodoul , thank you for clarifying, we’ve not yet implemented this workflow and it’s not on our roadmap at the moment, but I’ll add it on the roadmap.
Thanks,

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Problem with imagesHey folks,
Thanks a bunch for using the plugin and for reaching out, some of the features you are asking for are premium features, so just tl clarify, do you have a premium Key ?

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] click title to original urlby template parameter you mean the template text box in the options menu (which has the {$content}
Source: {$feed_title}
) ?Yes, and that’s where you need to paste the {$permalink} parameter, that’s the appropriate section. Appropriate position means, if you paste it as last parameter, your anchor+llink will appear at last (after the other parameters content) , if it’sit’s first ….anchor+link are first in your final imported article and so on: That’s what I mean with appropriate position. You are welcome. 🙂 I hope this could help.

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] click title to original urlHi Folks,
Thank you very much for reaching out. There’s a template parameter for that: {$permalink} is the parameter, simply add it to the appropriate section and position for the original link to be added. It will add the original article title anchor with the link.

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Re-Import Feeds?Hi dalsenoa,
Thank you very much for reaching out. We’ve implemented the suggested Bulk Import/Export feature, it’s however a premium feature so only users who have a key see this.
Now regarding the your use case to import new articles, we have a security in the plugin to check if an article has already been imported to avoid duplicated content, so if you have deleted the old articles, please make sure they are really fully deleted from your system and not just in the trash (still in your database) , then when re-importing the feeds again , select “save and Import” instead of just “save” and make sure to have the appropriate number of items you’d like to import high. I suspect, your articles are still in your trash or you have a backup plugin storing those articles in the database but not showing them on the admin section, that’s where I’ll start investigating.
Hope this could help .
Cheers,

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] So, is there a simple way…If you mean the short codes, this plugin doesn’t need any shortcodes, the only thing you need are the parameters such a {$content} and you put those in the box near the parameters listing: Simple copy/paste.
If you mean the Full RSS Key , you will get it if you upgrade to the premium service and all you will need to do is copy/paste it in the corresponding form area….or could you explain what you mean with CODE if you mean something else ?

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] So, is there a simple way…Yep, an incredibly dirt easy way. To avoid writing a wall of text here, I’ll suggest you take 5 short minutes to watch this very short tutorial: https://vimeo.com/113796278 and drop me a line here if there’s anything you’d like to know more about, but that short video will probably answer all the questions you just asked.

Thanks again for the head up, this one was difficult to replicate because it only appears with a specific setup (save image locally)

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] is this plugin runnin and use more resourceNo, the plugin doesn’t use more ressources than needed and is not really ressources hungry BUT, you might have two issues here:
1- Since your posts seems images heavy, this might take a couple of seconds to get the images, more so if you choose to save the images locally, and on a share host, this might be an issue for your host because share host give you really very few resources.
2- Share hosting generally limit resources, so if you can get a virtual server that would be better and it’s not as expensive as you might think, linode.com offers VPS for as low as $10 and digital Ocean starts, I believe with as low as $5 so if you are serious with your blog, I’ll suggest you switch to a more reliable host, more so since you only make 1 request / day.
Thanks a bunch for your kind words about my plugin, it’s a work of love and I’d appreciate if you could leave a review and a full stars review, assuming you think the plugin is worth it 🙂

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Warning cannot modify header infoHey Jim,
Thanks for the head up. We’re sorting this out, should be fixed in version 2.0.18 , I’ll let you know.

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] No lee UTF-8Hello Pablo,
Thanks again for the head up, we finally found the real source and could fix it: I guess you had the option to save images locally enabled , because that’s the only use case when this bug appears, and we were testing with the save images locally option to No.
Anyway, finally fixed and should come with the next release, 2.0.17 , 🙂
