In reply to: Gallary image sizes in 2.5So I installed 2.5 on another domain and everything worked as advertised, including the problem described above about full size images in posts and not thumbnails.
Went back to my main site and turned off *all* the plugins and started test posting and turning each plugin on one at a time. I think I may have narrowed it down to the ImageManager plugin. I’m not certain, but now it’s working with everything else and that the last plugin I need to turn on. I don’t think I’m going to lol.

In reply to: Gallary image sizes in 2.5tried a png file, resaved with Preview and it didn’t create a thumbnail. Tried the same png file and resaved with Photoshop and it also didn’t create a thumbnail.
I’m going to try my pc just for kicks… loaded a image in paintbrush, resaved, uploaded and nada. Same thing.

In reply to: Gallary image sizes in 2.5The flash uploader is the one without the “Browse” and “Submit” buttons. It will just have a “Choose files to upload” button.
Otto, you are right – I’m blind apparently… It looks like that wasn’t the problem after all. I can upload images no issues. I can’t however size an image down to a thumbnail that links to the original in a post. I get the full size image every time. I tried adding the css:
.aligncenter { display:block; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; } .alignleft { display:block; margin-right:auto; } .alignright { display:block; margin-left:auto; }from here http://wordpress.org/support/topic/164999 but that didn’t seem to work either.

In reply to: Gallary image sizes in 2.5I download the no-flash-uploader plugin, installed and activated it and the flash uploader still seems to be working.
Is there something else I need to do to turn off the flash uploader?

In reply to: Cant edit a themeTrasnam, I know I’m going to sound totally noobish here, but I’m not entirely sure what you mean.
The theme in question is ChaoticSoul v.1.0 (as displayed in the themes dir). Here’s the odd thing – even after getting the error, when I look at the template file I just edited and got the error on, the changes are saved…
Let me know where/what to look for and I’ll be happy to provide any information I can.
Just as a point of reference, the two themes that come default with WP (classic and default) both work with no problems.
And as a side note, I didn’t leave my dir at 777 🙂 I was just trying to state that changing perms didn’t help with the problem.

In reply to: Cant edit a themei just upgraded to version 2.0.4 and now have the same problem with a theme I’ve been able to edit in 2.0.4. All the files including the theme directory are 777.
