If I exclude the ‘type_aws’ parameter from the URL, the search results exclude products which aws matches by tag. The color filter widget therefore only shows colors for products matched by product title. The color widget behavior is however correct without the ‘type_aws’ parameter, as it doesn’t update and only show available attributes for filtered products.

Hi, yes this happens with the default WooCommerce ‘Filter Products by Attribute’ widget as well as the WooCommerce Layered Nav widget.

A correction to my original post – The filter widgets don’t exhibit ‘AND’ query behavior as previously stated, however the widgets are being regenerated based on the filtered criteria. This only happens when filtering search results, as can be seen in these screenshot links provided below.

I need filter attributes to remain constant for searched products, e.g. search on product ‘toy’ shows color widget with available colors for ‘toy’: red, blue, green. As I’ve set the filter widget to use an ‘OR’ query, if I select color red in the color widget, once the product grid has refreshed to display red toys, I still want the color filter widget to show red, blue, green as color filter options. I hope this makes sense.
