    Hi,

    Thanks for your feedback.

It really works as you described. When curating a page it will only allow to pull just one image.

BUT if you want to get more images, you can simply curate the same page again to pull in another image.
This is not so comfortable, but for now that’s the only way to pull in multiple images.

The multi-selection is in our timeline and will be implemented in the near future.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your feedback.

Do I understand correctly that you refer to the screenshot-ing function in ExpressCurate Chrome Extension? That feature, as you mentioned, takes the whole page and you want to select the area you want to capture?

If this is the case, it is already in our timeline and will be implemented in the near future.

So, as it appeared all was working fine. Here are a couple of words how it works and why the feed ended up empty.

Content Feed pulls only fresh content. In other words, if there is no new post (after the previous content pull) then you won’t have posts in the Content Feed page.
For example, if you open http://www.quicksprout.com/feed/, you will see the last post is published on 3rd June. When ExpressCurate checks the feed for fresh content on 4th or after it was published, ExpressCurate will simply ignore everything. It will pull only content that is published after the previous content pull.
To sum up, for this particular source you will need to wait more to get content suggestions.

Recommendation: You just need to pick sources that have more frequent updates. In time you will collect high-frequency sources that have good-keyword-match-frequency too and those will become your main sources.

General memory & cpu optimization hints:

    1. don’t pull the feed every hour, but twice a day (ExpressCurate > Settings > Feed > Content Pull Frequency)
    2. use only the most relevant feeds and keep the list to minimum

These settings are useful when a hosting service is used with limited resources. In case the network bandwidth, RAM and CPU are limited, having frequent content pulls with a big bunch of RSS feed subscriptions will slow down your site. These tips will help you minimize the operations and yet utilize and benefit from ExpressCurate 100%.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your feedback.

The mentioned feature is actually in place. When an image is curated with ExpressCurate (using Curate Content or Clone Post) those are marked and uploaded to the mentioned upload folder.

Also, depending on the setting “Image Placement” (ExpressCurate > Settings > General > Image Placement), the first image may be transformed into Featured Image and removed from the post content.

There was a bug connected with ExpressCurate Chrome Extension. When the image was coming from Chrome Extension, it would not be uploaded to the upload folder. That is now fixed with ExpressCurate Chrome Extension 2.6.5. Please, update to the latest version and try again. Let us know if the problem persists.

    Thanks for your feedback.

It’s quite strange as ExpressCurate doesn’t do (literally) anything during the plugin installation and activation. The package itself is not big and the activation process does nothing.

ExpressCurate may take some additional memory when RSS Feeds are set up and ExpressCurate fetches for fresh content regularly, but that’s an expected behavior.

Would it be possible to have direct access to your system so that we could have a closer look at the issue?
