    Thanks for your feedback.

It’s quite strange as ExpressCurate doesn’t do (literally) anything during the plugin installation and activation. The package itself is not big and the activation process does nothing.

ExpressCurate may take some additional memory when RSS Feeds are set up and ExpressCurate fetches for fresh content regularly, but that’s an expected behavior.

Would it be possible to have direct access to your system so that we could have a closer look at the issue?

Please, contact us directly at support at expresscurate dot com. We are committed to making sure you have positive experience with ExpressCurate tools.

General memory & cpu optimization hints:

    1. don’t pull the feed every hour, but twice a day (ExpressCurate > Settings > Feed > Content Pull Frequency)
    2. use only the most relevant feeds and keep the list to minimum

These settings are useful when a hosting service is used with limited resources. In case the network bandwidth, RAM and CPU are limited, having frequent content pulls with a big bunch of RSS feed subscriptions will slow down your site. These tips will help you minimize the operations and yet utilize and benefit from ExpressCurate 100%.
