annnnnd we’re back. yes. it was problems with mysql – I did a repair, and now my site SEEMS to be back…though wordpress thinks it’s my first post, but whatever.

Oh, lord. never mind. the instructions say widgets directory, but I’m pretty sure they meant plugins directory. because THAT worked.
maybe this will help someone else who got stupidly confused, so I’ll leave it here!

I had just overwritten the old files to upgrade, but obviously that didn’t do it properly. I deleted the whole wp-includes folder and replaced with the 2.0.5 folder. and that did the trick!
