Nope, never fixed. IMHO it is non-sense to provide roles that are not used at all…

Hi, thanks for the reply !

I carefully read the page you provided but still cannot understand why private events can only be viewed on the calendar by Editors and Administrators only.

If one edits some role capabilities, and let’s say grants Subsrcibers the ai1ec_private_events_read right, I would expect subscribers to view private events listed in the calendar, but it does not seem to be the case :/

I found out that the issue is coming from the All In One Event Calendar plugin : it seems that the plugin filters displayed events according to user role, and only Editor and above are allowed to view private events !
