In reply to: QUICK Question: File-size limit with “Add Media” in regular Post?I asked my Web-Server about this, and this is what they said:
“Unfortunately, it is not possible as that is a wordpress limitation, bigger files are recommended to upload via http://FTP.”
Are they wrong?
(if you need it, this is exactly what I asked them: “I would like to know if it is possible to upload a file that is bigger than 64-MB inside of the WordPress environment, even though when I am in the WordPress environment, there is a message stating that ‘files must be less than 64-MB to upload’.” )

In reply to: QUICK Question: File-size limit with “Add Media” in regular Post?So if the *server* allows, is it *foreseeably possible* that if I can somehow get the SERVER to be able to upload more than 64MB at a time, will I, then, also, be able to do it with this “Add Media” in WordPress?

In reply to: Using WordPress for a "login-to-allow-PDF-downloading" pieceAfter trying the Free Plugin “PaidMembershipsPro”, I like most things about it, but I cannot seem to figure out a way to set it up such that me, as the Admin, must sort of “Flip a switch” to “APPROVE” whenever a new user attempts to Register, in order to view Content.
So alternatively, I’m looking at just using the built-in “Visibility: Private” function built into my default WordPress 4.6.1 install. But I want to confirm that I understand exactly how this works, can someone please confirm for me:
Does this mean that I can control certain “Posts” to go into a Category, such that only people who utilize the Base “Login” function, as built-in to a default WordPress 4.6.1 install, and create an ID that way, can see?
Because if this is the case, this will accomplish what I need to accomplish. I just simply want to force people to “Register” before they can view posts on this WordPress site. Can someone please confirm this for me?
God bless.

In reply to: Using WordPress for a "login-to-allow-PDF-downloading" piece@contentiskey – Thank you for taking the time to post what you did. May I ask, can you hyperlink me to a spot where I can surf plugins?
I don’t even need a “Paid” membership. I just need the most simplest, base thing that just requires a simple “login”–no money’s exchanging hands or anything.
If anyone else *possibly* has any suggestions for me with any specific plugins, by name, that are strong plugins that handle this with which you have had good experience, based on this fact that I need such a basic one, that’d be MOST helpful.

In reply to: File Library-type of functionality? (maybe for Plugins forum?)I forgot to mention:
I would like this set up such that a user *would* have to have, first, a username and be registered with my WordPress blog in order to use this “document library” But I don’t necessarily need any sort of a auto-registration system in place–I’ll manually create the users when they need access.
But I just do want people to be able to login, first, before they can get to the Document Library and download the .XLS and .PDF files.

In reply to: Logo on top left…?Oh, ok, I see; that “Business lite” on the top left is an image.
I’m dumb–didn’t even think to check that.
Thank you for the response.

In reply to: Any way to anchor an image? Thanks for the insight. I’ll be looking into using the “Position” attribute with HTML/CSS to accomplish this goal.
But I’d like to ask everyone: Does anyone have any experience doing this and has anything they could share about it?

In reply to: Adding top left image to WordPress site..Actually, for this particular site, I am considering just using the default WordPress 2011 theme, and just changing out some of those banner images and stuff:
http://ktravisj.com/media4change/wordpress/
So, yeah, that’s the theme I’d like to use. Where could I insert that “Insert IMG” HTML code to stick it in the top left corner, there?
