This it my whole functions.php file. I checked, but there is no second line with ‘container’ in it. The modified functions.php file is the one in use.

I figured out how to fix the issue. I just changed

div.sidebar li:hover > a,
div.sidebar a:focus {

to

div.sidebar ul li:hover > a,
div.sidebar a:focus

I don’t understand how it works, but now my website is ok. Where can I find out more about this ul and this li tag in css. Google gives me a million of results.
