I figured out the issue! For some odd reason, the comments.php from one theme mixed in with the one I was having problems in. I initially installed the theme through my WordPress dashboard, next time I’ll direct upload to my FTP to avoid these type of issues.

    Thanks for your patience Esmi!

There doesn’t seem to be a problem when using any other theme, such as the Twenty Thirteen theme.

I found a similar thread (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/comments-box-will-not-appear-at-all-on-my-site?replies=8) and I completely understand if only the creator can help, but since he doesn’t seem to understand either, I’m left with trying to find out the issue within the coding myself 🙁

I downloaded it from ThemeForest (http://labs.am-themes.com/?theme=dashwp). I’ve asked the creator many questions but his answer is always “plugins.” I followed the instructions for resetting the plugins folder and it still doesn’t show a section to post new comments or shows old comments.

KatieKat (cute name) – The issue is not the number of comments shown. Comments are not appearing at all nor is there a form for people to leave new comments.

Esmi (love the name, hehe!) – I switched themes and it does seem to be the theme I’m using, which I figured as much. I’m cool with resetting the plugin folders thanks to the page you linked, but the other option is to reupload everything for WordPress? If it’s just the theme, isn’t there a simpler way of figuring out the issue? Sorry, I know you’re helping but I have to wonder if there’s another route to go down first.
