If someone is so unreliable with a paying customer, what can you expect when he offers a free plugin? I am sure you do not want to have people adding it to their sites only to hear later they are left in the dark.

But it makes it even worse when you are a paying customer and he just denies the support you require and that you paid for. I wouldn’t like to depend on someone like that. Unfortunately, It is too late for me to take that advice now, and I am suffering the consequences of this.
