OK – apologies. Should have tested other plugins first. Pinned it down to Better WordPress Security’s “Filter suspicious query strings”. And the “Display random version number…” must be unchecked.
All working 100% – thanks for the excellent plugin.

In reply to: Category Post Count in Menu??Glad I’m not the only one darrensa…!
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a solution. I came close with a few .php function “hack” solutions, but everything I tried to get the function’s call code into the custom menu failed. I’m sure that someone with good .php knowledge could get it right, but it would mean some serious fiddling in the editor.
The only help I’ve had from any forums has been to tell me that it’s not possible without completely coding my own custom menu from scratch. I don’t think this is true, I’m sure it can be done, but I don’t really have the know-how to do it myself.
It is really frustrating that the categories widget can do it at the tick of a box, but the categories menu options can’t! I’ve tried finding out what code the categories widget uses to achieve it, but can’t for the life of me work it out. And even then, I’m not sure how I would get the .php call code into the custom menu……
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help! If you manage to find a solution, please do let me know!

In reply to: Add a "post-counter" by category on your nav-menuThanks cavimaster – I tried the code, but it didn’t work. I followed your instructions to the t, emptied the cache and reloaded the page.
The sub-menu items had “_00” or “_02” before them, but the main nav items had nothing….
I assume your code just isn’t compatible with the theme I’m using….?
Thanks for your help!
