No, there’s no way to configure the position, currently the board appears just after the text of the post/page.

I am not at all CSS master so I “design” this sort of things with Firebug 😛 Sometimes I fix the bugs I detect putting some “important” statements here and there.
I don’t think it was an IE issue, as far as I am Ubuntu user and I havent tested this with IE…
