Ok,I guess I’ll just deactivate Ultimate member every time I need to assign batch categories to my media (which isn’t that often), as your plugin works for all other functions including filtering.

Ok, I found the culprit, by deactivating and reactivating my plugins one by one: It’s the “Ultimate Member” plugin. It manages login / logout / profile screens and member areas, and does it pretty well.
I can’t figure what the conflict may be as they really concern different areas, but it’s there.
Unfortunately I really need this plugin which is already heavily configured, so I’ll have to let go of yours if we can’t solve this. Bummer!
Let me know if we can go around this in some way.
