Wordpress. I have allowed the necessary permissions for the Uploads folder but when I upload an image sometimes it gives the file permission to display but other times not. This is a completely random result why? I am using Windows Server 2012 with IIS 8

In reply to: failed to open stream: Permission denied in wp-settings.phpHi,
I am talking from a windows server point of view using WordPress. I have just had the problem too https://www.epnetstreaming.com/
I have been using WordPress for many years now I get permissions denied but in the form of error 500 permission denied no other information for me to work with. On a Windows server I eventually allowed iis_users (as opposed to Users) full permission and then it worked my images were displaying. As far as I am concerned this permission setting I am using allows anyone from the Internet to write to my website which is really a dangerous position to be in. So don’t know but I am sure your problem is a “permissions” problem. I would re-apply them on your website.- This reply was modified 6 years, 4 months ago by epnetstreaming.

In reply to: Installing WP 4.7.2 on Local ends in Fatal errorI found the same error on my Server which is also a Windows system. I rebooted and all worked fine. Not sure if it was maybe a Windows problem. I find that they are usually to blame for most errs.

In reply to: Easy fix: in Appearance/Menus/Custom Links, add target=”_blank”target=”_blank” on menus has been such a problem in the past. I have tried many times to use it on WordPress menus which have not worked. I am glad that this issue has been resolved.
