    I should have held off posting. I have found several others with “missing widget” issues after the most recent update to WP (3.91). For what it is worth, this doesn’t seem to be either a new issue nor 3.91 specific.

    In my case, I found the missing widgets in the “Inactive Widgets” area.
    Appearance > Widgets > Bottom left corner.

    I hope you have as easy a time resolving this as I did.

    Hey. I had the same problem. In the admin area:
    Appearance > Widgets > Look in the bottom left corner for inactive widgets.

    I found all of the missing content there, and merely re-inserted the widgets. I hope your fix is as easy.

    I can attest to the fact that at least one other person “has this issue.”

    This morning (Monday May 12) I logged into a project we have going…
    Wordpress, Genesis. The front page is static and composed mostly of widgets. Most of those widgets vanished over the weekend. Last known activity on the site…3.91 update.

    I would be interested to know which theme the OP was using.
