  • Hello Marco,
it seems that we have the same problem than Davide.
We use Wordfence Security with Falcon option and in some websites it seems to work (but – question for Davide – how can I understand if Falcon is working or not?)
In another site, with a different theme, if the Falcon option is active the EU Cookie Law plugin doesn’t work properly (the bar is not in all the pages and the bar doesn’t disappear after scroll…)
    Thank you very much!

    Hi Marco,
thank you very much for your reply!
It would be perfect to remove scrolling on the cookie law policy page!
If the user scrolls on the homepage it means that he is happy to continue and accept cookie (and maybe he doens’t want to visit the cookie page info to know more).

About Google, we agree with you…Google should provide more information, just to be sure that IP Anonymization comply the law.

    Thanks!!

Good question. Our solution is the IP Anonymization in Google Analytics.
In this way, there are no problem if the cookie is received when the users visit the Cookie Law policy.

    What do you think?

    Hello Marco,
thank you very much for your message.

I think these functions are expected from the Italian law, anyway I know that it is possible to have so many interpretations.
At the point 4.1. the law explains that “deve immediatamente comparire in primo piano un banner di idonee dimensioni” […] contenente le seguenti indicazioni: […]
“- l’indicazione che la prosecuzione della navigazione mediante accesso ad altra area del sito o selezione di un elemento dello stesso (ad esempio, di un’immagine o di un link) comporta la prestazione del consenso all’uso dei cookie.”

I think that “altra area del sito” means a category, a link on the navigation bar (link) a picture etc…

As a matter of fact on my banner I decided to write “Continuando la navigazione (click o scroll) acconsenti all’uso di cookie”.

Please let us know what you think and thank you very much for your support!

    Hi Marco,

thank you very much! That’s great!! The “scroll function” works perfectly! You guys are really brilliant!!

Do you think is possible also add a “click function”, in other words the user clicks on the page (e.g. on the navigation bar or on a category etc…), the page refreshes and banners and other elements appear?

It would be a plus. Anyway, now is perfect!! This is the best plugin that really complies with the Italian Cookie Law.

Keep up the good work! 🙂

    Thanks!!
