In reply to: comments on posts on dashboardI’m assuming it’s a problem in my theme. Someone that worked for our company previously created our theme. And no I have never seen a comment box. Do you know how to add a comment box to my theme?

In reply to: comments on posts on dashboardOkay I created a page and named it employee communication. I password protected it. I set the settings in discussion and allowed comments. Why in the world doesn’t it show a place to make comments when I go to the link?

In reply to: comments on posts on dashboardI managed to get the prior theme to work properly again. I’m not familiar with plugins, widgets, etc. so that makes this a bit more difficult. I think I will just make everyone be able to edit posts. I have no idea how to debug the P2 theme. And the p2 theme opened up commenting on our contact us tab as well as our services tab which I didn’t want. Thank you a million!

In reply to: comments on posts on dashboardOkay there is some sort of bug in the p2 theme and when I activated it, it’s saying there is a sidebar problem. Now our website functionality is messed up. I tried to go back to a different theme and now they’re all messed up!!

In reply to: comments on posts on dashboardYes those settings under discussion are checked for being able to comment. When a user views a comment they can look at it but there is no box for them to comment. As for when a user views a post: The only way for them to comment is if they push “edit” and they can only “edit” their own posts. If I allow them to edit anyone’s post then it will allow them to change anything about it. Is there any way for me to allow them to comment without getting to edit?

In reply to: comments on posts on dashboardWhen trying to upload the file for the new plug in you showed me it is telling me no valid plug in is found. So apparently it isn’t working and that’s why I don’t see a difference. I’m not sure that plug in would help since it seems to be more blog focused. I really appreciate your help and any suggestions!

In reply to: comments on posts on dashboardThey each have an account and I have their roles set up so they can comment on posts. I don’t know what I’m missing. I am not using it as a blog but do want to open communication between our employees in the dashboard. I clicked the themes link you posted and downloaded it. I don’t see much of a difference.
